Website Design for a Car Workshop Business

Introduction

A.V.M Auto is one of the biggest and oldest firms repairing cars for over 25 years in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India – 380060. Once they noticed that they are finding difficulties handling too many customers at a time. So, Here is my first major work experience project. 

Responsibilities

  • Solo UI/UX Designer, Content Developer and a WordPress Developer.
  • Having Meetings with Owner and Manager of the firm about their requirements in the website.
  •  Making effective designs for website and meeting for best layouts.
  • Making Final designing and taking client and User Feedback.
  • Figuring Out Problems that traced through feedbacks and solving them.
  • Writing Content For Website.
  • Finding Optimal Solutions to the problem by making necessary design changes.
  • Making the website easier to interact with people from different places and communities.

Problems Faced During Design and Research

  • Users who were comfortable with local language were finding website difficult to read and understand in English Language.
  • Users were facing difficulties using payment link for payments and were felt misguided.
  • Users got frustrated to directly contact or place a call from any where in the mobile devices.
  • Some people finding difficulties to find the address of the business.

Problems Solving Approach

  • A translate button at bottom left corner of the website where any one can click that button to translate into any native language.
  • A separate Payment Page was formed where users were assured that the payment is going to the firm.
  • Making Website Responsive by introducing a floating Call Button on Mobile Devices where one can place the call from any part of the website.
  • Increase the amount of contact buttons so navigation becomes smoother and easier for user to experience the interface of the website.
